Congratulations to Coach Julie Sochacki, who has been named Vikings Girls Hockey Director beginning in the Spring of 2017. The announcement was made by Orland Park Vikings Hockey Director, Nick Pollos. Coach Julie will oversee and coach both the Vikings Girls 12U and 16U Teams beginning this Spring and on through the fall season of 2017-2018. Julie replaces current Vikings Girls Director, Keith Mizwicki, who will be moving to the Chicago Fury to lead their Girls U16 team next season. Congratulations to Coach Keith and thank you for all you have done for Vikings Girls Hockey.

Coach Julie is no stranger to the Vikings. Julie has served as a Mite Head Coach and an Assistant Coach for our Girls Teams over the past four seasons.

Coach Julie brings an experienced resume as she takes over to lead the Vikings Girls Program. Julie played her Tier I AAA Hockey for the Chicago Chill before moving onto College Hockey at Utica College in New York. While at Utica, Julie earned MVP Honors of the ECAC-West Division, ECAC Player of the Week and was named to the 2001 USA Olympic Girls Team Training Camp roster.

Her coaching bio includes being a member of the Girls Player Development Camp and Lead Instructor of the TAC Advanced Power Hockey Camps. Julie served as an Assistant Coach for both the Chicago Fury and Chicago Mission Girls U19 teams and won a State Championship as the Head Coach of the CYA Girls U14 Team. “I couldn’t be happier to have Julie lead our Girls Program into the next phase of Player Development for Girls Hockey in Illinois. Our working relationship has been fantastic over the years. I’m here to help and support her in any way possible,” says Vikings Hockey Director, Nick Pollos. “Julie will be a huge part of our club for years to come.”
