Vikings Welcome Adam Marsh to Spring Coaching Staff
The Orland Park Vikings are proud to announce the addition of Adam Marsh to the 2019 Vikings Spring Coaching Staff. Adam, son of former Chicago Blackhawk Peter Marsh will serve as a skills instructor during the 2019 Spring Program and work with all ages from Mites to Midgets focusing on puck skills and skating.
Adam played his youth hockey in Chicago, playing for two AAA Clubs. Adam played Pee Wee and Bantam for the Chicago Mission and later played his Midget AAA hockey for the Chicago Young Americans. That spring, Adam was a Futures Draft Pick in the USHL by the Indiana Ice. Later that year Adam signed to play with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 2015 Adam was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 7th round of the 2015 NHL Draft. After four seasons in the Q, Adam turned pro and played in the East Coach Hockey League for Rapid City Rush and the Reading Royals. Medical challenges forced him to retire at a very young age and now he will turn his attention to coaching here at the Vikings.
“I’m excited to bring Adam in to join our staff” says Vikings Hockey Director Nick Pollos. “Adam is a great young guy who will be a huge asset to our staff and to our players in our Spring Program. We also look forward to having Adam join our staff in the fall of 2019 as an Assistant Coach as well.”
