The Orland Park Vikings are proud to announce the addition of Sean Nicholson to the Vikings Coaching Staff for 2022-2023. Coach Sean will be leading the Vikings 2008 and 2009 age groups this season. Sean Nicholson grew up in the Chicagoland area playing his AAA hockey for Team Illinois and the Chicago Mission respectively where he was one of the team's captains with both clubs . Sean played Jr Hockey for the Connecticut Clippers and later went on to play Jr. A for the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL where he played for Hockey Director Nick Pollos in 2002-2003. Sean later played professional hockey for the Chicago Hounds of the UHL as well.

Sean began his coaching career with the Armstrong Falcons HS Program out of Minnesota in 2012. Upon returning to Chicago, Sean led the Lyons Township HS Program as Director and Head Varsity Coach. Later Sean became a Head Coach for the Geneva Cyclones and last season Head Coached the Sabres Bantam Major CSDHL Team, leading them to the NAPHL Showcase Championship. "Coach Sean was a complete player, a great skater, solid skill level, could score and played the game with tremendous grit and jam. He will be a great addition to our coaching staff", says Hockey Director Nick Pollos. "Our players will benefit tremendously from Sean's leadership and experience." Coach Sean resides in the far Western Suburbs with his wife Stephanie and their two sons Scott and Jackson.
