A big congratulations to PW A1 for advancing to the #1 seed game and helping Team USA take home the medal in the Nations Cup last weekend in the Detroit Metro area.  The Nations Cup features a head to head match-up between USA and Canadian teams in pool play, followed by seeded final games for all teams on Sunday based on pool play records.  The overall country victor is the team scoring the most game points when all is said and done.

Our Peewees went 4 and 0 in pool play, defeating Milton, Sarnia, Hamilton and London along the way.  A rematch in the #1 seed game on Sunday with the London Jr Knights (#8 ranked AA team in Canada) saw the Vikings fall 5-4 in the final, but the close loss still assured the overall Team USA victory.  Great job boys!

PW AA and Bantam A1 also participated in this fun and unique Tier 2 AA tournament.  Team USA won the 2001 division and Team Canada won the 2002 division (on which our PW AA team played).
