A big congratulations to the Vikings Midget Minors for winning the 3rd place game tonight against the Yellowjackets by a score of 4 to 1. 

A hard fought battle from the start, the Vikings managed goals on 2 power plays and killed off a 5 on 3 Yellowjacket advantage to maintain their lead.  Colton Haling netted 2, Jake Lesiak and Peter Motyka rounded out the scoring.  Strong goaltending, however, was key to the Vikings victory tonight as Austin Alcorn gave up only 1 goal on 33 shots.

After a rocky start to the season, Head Coach, Kevin Coyne, did a tremendous job in turning the team around and getting them peaking at just the right time for the playoffs  Great effort by everyone produced a very nice way to end the season.  Great work Vikings!
