Bantam AA strikes yet again, this time taking home the big prize in the NIHL Bantam Elite Championship game today, beating the Chicago Blues 4-1.

About halfway through the first period, Grant Longtin saw an opportunity to step up from D and drive the wide lane. As he made his way to the net, Garrett Aurienne appeared driving the middle lane.  A beautiful dish from Longtin and Aurienne buried the puck for the Vikings first goal. 

This goal would be the only in the game until the 3rd period when Bryce Schrofer buried the game's 2nd goal to make it 2-0 Vikings.  A few minutes later, Connor Richards would find himself alone walking the puck across the crease, beating the Blues netminder with a quick deke..  Finally Josh Maloney broke free not long after and buried a wrist shot to make it 4-0 Vikings.  The Blues finally tallied a goal with 3 minutes left in the game to make it the game's final score of 4-1.  Hayden Muehlbacher had an outstanding performance today, turning away all 15 shots he faced.

A fitting finish to an outstanding season for this team.  Great work Vikings!
