After recently wrapping up the 2014/15 Fall season, the Vikings Girls Hockey program is hitting the Spring in full stride.  Head Coach and Girls Director, Keith Mizwicki, Associate Coach, Kenny Morrow, and Assistant Coach, Andrea Senne, have made huge advances this year with the U14 team, and look to build on the future of the program.

In this first year of the program, this team has achieved remarkable success and shown development up and down the roster.  They played in the highest level of Girls Hockey at the U14 level in NIHL.  They won their first tournament in January in South Bend, advanced to the Consolation game in the NIHL playoffs (ended up in 4th place with an OT loss), and tied for 5th in the State at the Blackhawk Cup.  These achievements were a direct result of the coaching and development philosophy of the staff and of the club.

From Coach Keith: "The program is based on progressive teaching with a specific focus on building relevant skills to form a player’s habit base.  Once achieved, we reinforce the application of skills in competitive situations which is where we test the player development process.  Adjustments and corrections are regularly communicated by the staff to ensure players feel they are developing in a learning environment.  Our player development methodology is the differentiator."
