The Orland Park Vikings once again are proud to announce that eight boys players have advanced to AAA Tier I Hockey for the upcoming USA Hockey Season. In recent years the Vikings have seen over four dozen players advance to the AAA ranks. Leading the way this year is the 2003 Class, Bantam Minor, with three players jumping to AAA. Goalie Paul Cassin has been selected to Team Illinois and forwards Tommy Wright and Tyler Black make the AAA jump to CYA. Following the 03’s, is the Squirt Major 06’s where forwards Guhner Hillman and Josh Reaska, along with goalie Tyler Flaig, will lace em up for the Chicago Fury. At the Pee Wee Major, 04 level, D-man Jack Keane has been selected by the Chicago Fury and 02 D-man Bryce Bollman will skate for CYA.

"Over the years, we have become known for Player Development and Player Advancement," says Vikings Hockey Director Nick Pollos. "That was one of our highest priorities when I took over back in 2010, we want to develop hockey players here. We have made it a point to not hold our players back, instead we push and promote them to the next level, that's what sets us apart from the other clubs." 

With success of so many players making the jump to AAA, it also gives our players the chance to advance within the club, moving up in team levels and taking on new challenges. Also, the Vikings have seen success at tournament and playoff time, winning several high end tournament championships such as the Warrior AAA Invite, Rumble on the Rink and AAA Nations Cup. In addition, the Vikings have captured over 34 flags in the past four years combined at the league and state level including five Presidents Cup Titles, Wolves Cup Titles, Top 4 Finishes, AHAI State Final 8 appearances, State Championship Runner Up and two State Championships.
