Remembering Mike Spencer

Husband, Father & Friend

The Orland Park hockey community has suffered another tremendous loss with the passing of Mike Spencer on Thursday 6/13/19. Mike was a former Vikings Hockey Club Board Member as his two sons Ian and Nolan played many years for the Vikings. Mike was a generous, easy going man who always saw the good in everyone. He was always there to lend a hand in any way needed and to whomever was in need. Mike inspired so many with his positive outlook and his pure presence with others. Mike's biggest passion was his family. Mike leaves behind his wife Ann and their daughter Lauren, Mike's sons Nolan and Ian and his daughter Brynn. Mike will be missed by all who knew him. RIP Spence.

Vikings Mourn the Loss of Former Player Michael Guzy

Michael Guzy 2/14/2000 - 6/11/2019

It is with a saddened soul and a heavy heart that the Orland Park Vikings mourn the loss of former player Michael Guzy. Michael was a 2000 birth year, playing for the Vikings for majority of his youth hockey career. Michael was a great teammate, friend and role model to so many. Some would say Michael was a special kind of kid. Generous, well spoken, polite, respectful and caring. Michael was a big part of many Championship Teams with the Vikings, all while having to manage a heart condition since he was born. Each season Michael had to be cleared to play the game he loved by his doctors. Michael just completed his freshmen year at Western Michigan University. Michael will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents Mike and Jen and his brother Matt. RIP Guz
