Vikings Youth Hockey: Supporting Inclusion Through the Power of the Game

At Vikings Youth Hockey, we believe that the true heart of the sport lies not just in competition, but in community, compassion, and connection. That’s why we’re proud to support the Chicago Storm Special Hockey Program (CSSH), an organization dedicated to making hockey accessible to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

CSSH provides a safe, inclusive environment where over 100 athletes, ranging in age from 5 to 55, come together to experience the joy of hockey. Players include individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual disabilities, and they practice at five rinks across the Chicagoland area. The program emphasizes sportsmanship, team spirit, confidence, and pride, ensuring that every player feels valued and supported.

Vikings Youth Hockey is committed to giving back and helping bring attention to hockey initiatives that uplift those who are often underserved. By standing with CSSH, we celebrate the belief that hockey is for everyone, and we’re honored to be part of a movement that puts safety, inclusion, and joy at the forefront.

Together, we’re not just building better players, we are building a stronger, more compassionate hockey community.

Join us in January when we host the Chicago Storm Special Hockey Teams for a day of exhibition games, raffle baskets, chuck-a-puck and split the pot with ALL proceeds going to CSSH. More information to come!
