Orland Park Vikings and Arctic Jr Fury Combine Forces
The Orland Park Vikings, and the Arctic Ice Arena are very proud to announce that they have combined forces and will be merging the Arctic Jr Fury Tier 3 hockey program into the Orland Park Vikings beginning this fall for the 2025–2026 USA Hockey season.
Beginning this season, the Orland Park Vikings will field teams in both the Tier II Central States Developmental Hockey League (9U-18U) (CSDHL) and the Tier III Northwest Hockey League (8U-14U) (NWHL) as well the Tier II Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL 8U only, travel). All teams will be called the Orland Park Vikings and have the same color scheme (black, white & gray) and uniform concepts with very minor variations to game jerseys between the CSDHL teams and NWHL teams. Home and away game jersey concepts will be revealed soon on all social media platforms. The Orland Park Vikings website, vikingsyouthhockey.org will be the new home for the CSDHL, CUHL and NWHL teams.
All registrations, rosters, news and financial transactions will be housed there. Jr Fury Hockey Director Ryan Holke will remain in that role with the Vikings leading the NWHL side joining Vikings Hockey Director Nick Pollos’ staff. Also playing a role in the merger will be David Gust Jr, serving as the rinks Director of Player Development.
“Merging all three programs under one umbrella will offer several benefits to our members and provide simplicity and a clearer path of development from the beginning stages of youth hockey through a player’s 18U Midget Major Season, regardless of their experience level” said Vikings Hockey Director Nick Pollos. He went on to say, “this merger allows us to combine resources regarding coaching, ice scheduling and player development, along with the simplicity of all members using one website to house all of the administrative processes that go into running a hockey club.”
The Arctic Ice Arena and the Vikings serve many area communities in addition to Orland Park, with many members living in Tinley Park, Mokena, New Lenox, Frankfort, Lockport, Lemont, Joliet, Manhattan and Homer Glen just to name a few. The Arctic Ice Arena (arcticicearena.com) offers programs such as Learn to Skate, Tot Hockey, Introduction to Hockey and Figure Skating.

Jersey sizing will begin July 9th in the Arctic Ice Arena lobby from 5:00-7:30pm with a second sizing on July 30th. All players who intend to tryout for Vikings travel hockey and players who intend on playing Vikings Tier III NWHL are encouraged to get sized in July. Getting sized early helps expedite the jersey ordering and delivery processes. A final sizing date in late August will be scheduled as well.
